POSITION DETAILS

Service Name:   Kids Academy Out Of School Hours Care - Balga

Company:          Daisy Chain Early Learning PTY LTD

Reporting to:      Kids Academy OSHC

Salary:                 AUD $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus super

Hours:                  Full Time Permanent (38 hours per week)

Location:             4 Treen Street Balga, 6061

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

This role is responsible for the supervision and coordination of school age children before, after, and during school holidays. You will be responsible for supervising children, managing behavior, and assisting with education and recreational activities during their time at Kids Academy Out Of School Hours Care.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Assisting in the setup of resources and equipment for children's educational and recreational activities
• Managing children's behaviour and guiding children's social growth
• Organising and carrying out activities for children
• Entertaining children through storytelling and games
• Supervising children in recreational activities
• Overseeing the daily activities of children
• Supervising the hygiene of children
• In compliance with the centre and safety policy, ensure a safe and hygienic environment is maintained at all times for staff and children, with particular attention to children with any conditions or special requirements
• Ensure that accurate records and reports are kept in regard to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication
• Promote and maintain positive working relationships with other staff
• Co-operate and communicate effectively with parents about their child needs

ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum qualification required is AQF Certificate IV or higher qualification related to the position

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years experience working within a childcare environment

• Current police clearance certificate with no disclosable court outcomes

• Current WA Working With Children Card

• Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR

• Friendly, bubbly nature and a genuine love for working with children
