Brilliant Beginnings Childcare is a family owner Centre providing excellent care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
We are looking for an experienced Child Care Worker/Room Leader with a passion for children's development to join our team. You will instill a love of learning and guide our children on their path of exploration, investigation, and discovery. You will be a team player and understand that building successful relationships with peers, families and the wider community is key to a successful learning environment for our students.
We require a highly passionate and dedicated educator to be a part of our Kindy team. The successful candidate will be working within a highly experienced team and well supported to achieve excellence in your career.
To be successful for this role you require:
- A Diploma of Children’s Services
- Several years of Childcare experience.
- The confidence to deliver a 3 and 4-year-old program and support other staff in the absence of the ECT.
- The ability to complete observations, set up the learning environment and adhere to policies and procedures.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS), The planning cycle, Theorists and Approaches to Learning.
- Current First Aid certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training
- Current Child Protection Training, including WWCC and Police Criminal Checks
- Passion and motivation to work in partnership with the ECT to deliver a high quality program, develop activities using the planning cycle through observations, and have input towards class environments.
- Confidence to manage a group of children independently and always ensure safety.
- The ability to be a team player within the ELC as well as the wider community including interacting with other teachers and staff.
- Willingness to upskill yourself through Professional Development training throughout each year.
- Excellent digital and face to face communication skills including experience with online platforms.
- Rotating shifts form open to closing times Monday – Friday.

Task & Responsibilities
Educational Program & Practice Key Tasks:
- contribute to ensuring Brilliant Beginnings Childcare facilitates a play-based learning environment and develops learning programs responsive to children’s ideas, strengths and abilities that inspire independent learners
- work with the Lead Educator to implement the successful planning, implementation and evaluation of a program for the service that is reflective of an approved learning framework; the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) or My Time Our Place (MTOP)
- assist to ensure the early childhood program meets the goals of the approved learning framework (EYLF or MTOP) to help children develop:
- a strong sense of their identity
- connections with their world
- strong sense of wellbeing
- confidence and involvement in their learning; and
- effective communication skills
- contribute to the collection, recording and evaluation of children’s records and observations, as required under the National Quality Standard and regulatory authority
- implement inclusive practice and lead an environment which honours diversity
- be proactive in ensuring currency in best early childhood practice
- contribute to the ongoing development of the Quality Improvement Plan for the service
- assist with the documentation of children’s developmental needs, interests, experiences and participation in the educational program in a variety of ways
- assist with the assessment of children’s developmental progress against the learning outcomes, establishing further learning goals
- assist with the assessment and planning cycle to design programs that enhance and extend each child’s learning and development. This includes observation, analysing learning, documentation, planning, implementation and reflection.
- support children’s learning through investigation and projects; and
- with support from the Lead Educator and Educational Leader critically reflect on all aspects of the educational program.
